IT hiring outlook in Q3, 2009– A rainbow after the storm

The hiring outlook has been doom and gloom for the past quarters.  Finally it seems like there is a rainbow after the storm.

According to Tech Republic, the latest key findings form the third-quarter Robert Half Technology IT Hiring Index and Skills Report states that CIOs are optimistic in hiring in the third quarter of 2009.  CIOs are hiring IT professionals in the area of end user support and LAN/WAN administration in the following sectors namely transportation, communications, and utilities.  Further there is also a strong demand for staff level technology professions in help desk support.

So it is said that a rainbow after the storm does bring a smile and this rainbow certainly does.
